Hello everyone. I am a new member on this forum. My husband and I have not yet gotten our Pembroke Welsh Corgi yet, we will be receiving her at the end of October. We are very excited to be bringing her into our home and we hope to learn as much as possible before we bring her home as well as over the years that we own her.

Thanks!

Tashie05

My Pem, Cody, is 10 1/2 months old.

Welcome to the site and I bet you can't wait to get your new Corgi.

How old will she be when she comes home and do you have any names picked out yet?

Tashie from Sashie - are you going to be eventually entering your Pem in conformation shows. Are you going to breed from her.

Welcome Tashie-
Congrats on getting your corgi, I know you are probably counting down the days! I know i did when it was time for me to get my baby... I was counting down the days from the time the mom was bred to the time she had the pup and then from the time he was born to the time he could come home with me 10 weeks later! My Dillon is now 16 months old and I love him to pieces! He is a true joy, you will love having a corgi around, they are so fun! Have you chosen a name yet?

Tashie - I bet you are SOOOOOOO excited to get your new baby!! Welcome to the site.

I can empathize with you...I am adopting my Rhys's littermate (they are both one) and she can't come home until October 10-13. I think "chomping at the bit" describes us!

Welcome to the site, and congratulations on your new baby!!! I was counting down before I got my fluffy girl too. Jackie is her name, and she is now 15 months old. Once you get them, the time flies by!!! Be sure to take lots of pictures (for yourself, and for US!!! We LOVE pictures around here!!!).

Hi everyone! So many questions to answer...and thank you for all the wonderful welcomes

When we receive our Corgi she will be 10 - 11 weeks old...I can't wait!

We are going to call her Ein.

We are getting her from Kam Valley, Ontario - www.geocities.com/kamvalley/index.html

In reply to Jespah I live in Saskatoon, SK.

I have been to Regina about twice in my life time

I am hoping to teach her to heard the birds around as long as she doesn't get tempted to eat them

I hope I didn't miss any questions.....I will do my best to take lots of pictures and post as many as possible!

Since everyone is very happy with their choice of dog I don't think we will be disappointed.

My Pembie's name is Lady and she is 1 yr 4 months old. I think if you look at her pictures, you'll surely agree that she is the prettiest here. Don't be to bummed out if she isn't as cute as mine. I'm sure your corgi will be just good enough. Just kidding by the way. Anyway, can't wait for pictures of the pup! You'll be very happy with your new corgi. I don't know if you have had other dogs before, but you'll see that once you go corgi.....you'll never go back. JR

Tashie - I looked at the litter from where you are getting your puppy and I would say that at six weeks of age, the females appeal to me much more than the males and particularly number one and number two. Mum looks like a really lovely Pem - and has champ written all over her.

Hi Tashie,

The pups look really lovely, I'm not that familiar with this breeder as she is in the Thunder Bay area - a little too north for me to get to by car.

I lived in Saskatoon for a couple of years and worked at the U of S. Left in '84 so my memories are a little blurry.

We look forward to seeing more of young Ein.
