Kary and her puppy Ein - 10-11-2006, 10:19 AM

Making my official introduction post since I promised I would in another thread
Anyhow, my name is Kary and I just got my first Corgi (and first dog that I own) nearly 2 weeks ago. His name is Ein. He's a sweet puppy that loves to play...alot. Pictures to follow at the end of my post.

My husband was the one initially interested in getting a Corgi, before I even knew him. Frankly I knew nothing of them until I met my husband. We had thoughts of getting one for awhile now, but couldn't own any pets until we had our own house, which we built a few months back. It was down to the wire for me...I had to get a dog or I was going to go crazy. I did a lot of research on Corgis personailties and behaviors and I was very happy with what I found out about the Corgi breed. I sorta "threatened" to get a different breed of dog (a beagle-peke mix dog I had found). I think my husband decided then if we don't get a Corgi now, that we may never get one We found a good breeder online and it was easy to pick out Ein from the rest of the litter.

Anyhow, although we've had a few difficulties with Ein (upper respiratory problem, shaking puppy, housebreaking woes) we have thoroughly enjoyed him and love him to death. Ok, here's the promised pictures:

What an adorable puppy face!

My Pem girl, Mazie, is amost 10 month old. I am a first-time Corgi owner and my husband picked the breed, just like your situation.

I hope Ein is getting over all his ailments.

Welcome to the board! Oh Ein is soooo adorable, what a face! I love that sleeping corgi pic - Dillon still sleeps like that now and again, and there is nothing more angelic looking...sigh I am getting puppy fever!

Awww, he looks like Ein, the cartoon Corgi! Your Ein is adorable...what a cute pup.
I am also a first time Corgi owner (after having grown up with a basset and border collies and owning a Lab). It is definitely fun!

Congratulations, Kary! Ein is very adorable. The puppy months (not years) go by very fast so treasure it and take as much pics as you can. I have the exact same bowl for Milo!! But he has another set of metal bowls (2 sets because he's spoiled). Enjoy your wonderful new corgi!

Ein looks like a typical beautiful Corgi pup. Well done.
Corgis wouldn't be the last breed my wife would choose, thats the best that I can say - though she has recently started to give my 3 year old Taylor a fairly vigourous return of the delightful welcome he gives her when she gets home from work each night.

Ein is precious!!! I think I feel another bout of Puppy Fever coming on myself . . . it's a chronic illness!!!!

My story is the opposite. I wanted a corgi all my life, and introduced hubby to the breed. At first he was resistant . . .A small dog? How Foofy!! But he is now a corgi convert, and a very devoted daddy to Jackie. Just goes to prove that corgis are irresistible.
