Yes I could double up on the poster by just changing the name after a week.

I have Taylor's photo as a five week old pup on my computer screen and my wife on the equivallent thing on my cellphone. So I have all bases covered.

My husband jokingly complains about the fact that all animals in my home have always and will continue to always eat their dinners before he gets his. He knows his place (honestly, he would have it no other way!)

T-gal, the locket story sounds like something I would do.

Michael, I think that it is great that you are throwing such a wonderful and fun party for Taylor, but oh boy, you better put your thinking cap on and plan a really good party to throw for your son, or your wife will have your head!

And just as a note Michael, don't bake that same cake for your wife on her birthday

It sounds like a fun day. Happy Birthday to Taylor. You will have to give us all the details and pics - wish we could all be there. What a fun day that would be.

Thanks again to all the best wishes.

Jane - yes has time simply flown. The first day I saw Taylor seems like just a week ago. It's a reason why it pays to make days count and try out things with your Corgi that you might not otherwise engage in - especially while they have their youthfulness.

Wow Michael, you have certainly put my birthday intentions for Ponzo to shame. Here I thought that getting him a peanut butter/carob chip bone shaped birthday cake and letting him and his friends at daycare enjoy it would be super birthday delight! Better get to the store and purchase some hats and party blowers....Happy birthday to Taylor in advance! I hope he enjoys everybit of his birthday extravaganza!
PS-That leaves me a week to kick it up a notch for Ponzo, Feb. 5th is the big day. We can't wait!

It sounds like a wonderful party you have planned and a delicious Corgi Birthday Cake too! Taylor is a very lucky fellow in deed.

Ponzo - Taylor and I send you a happy birthday for Fab Feb Five.
If Taylor's planned party seems opulent, I still think that we can all go to some lengths to make our Corgis birthday a little special. It is mentally and physically beneficial and stimulating for the Corgi's owner and family (if others are also party to it -excuse the pun) to put in a bit of an effort and it adds to the bond thing.

Taylor has already been given a gift - the local vet shop presented him with a soft ball toy and in the colours of the venerated Hurricanes Super 14 rugby team - yellow and black - which we both support. BUT, Taylor would like an oval Pembroke Welsh Corgi Birthday ornament. Only $8.99 (USA). C'mon. View it on www.cafepress.com/gardens4.15616106 and see what you think.

Thank god for you Michael! I almost forgot about the gifts, duh!! Well, after listening to your ideas and all of the fun Taylor will be having on his big day...I talked it over with Ponzo and I think we are going to make a special stop at his favorite house on the way home from Daycare (which I might add, his girlfriend will be attending that day)...Grandma and Grandpas! So thanks to you and Taylor and super party planning expertise, Ponzo will have a wonderful 1st birthday!

Hi Taylor,

We planned on going to your party. It sounded perfect, food and games and corgis. Then we were told it was too far away. No amount of begging helped. Now we are pouting. Just in case this does not work either, we will wish you HAPPY BIRTHDAY from home.

Susie, Rusty, and Redhead

Well, it should be about the crack of dawn on January 28th in New Zealand about now - it's afternoon here in Canada.

So, that means it's Taylors Birthday today for him and tomorrow it will be his birthday for us! I think

Happy Birthday Taylor, today is your big day! Enjoy!!!
