Dogster doings
Found out a few days ago that the Dogster management do not choose the Dog of the Day or Dog of the Week randomly. Some of the recipients are carefully selected, then it comes to breeds and other aspects for selection.

I had sent the admin folks an email asking about something and when I did, I thanked them for making Rupert a Dog of the Day and for having Tucker Bunns be dog of the day after he passed away. They replied and said they had made Rupert DotD because he wasa terrific dog (I was so proud) and that they were glad to make Tucker DotD for his family.
So, yes, sometimes they can be influenced by different things. Deb |

Deb:
Everyone knows that Rupert is a terrific dog so we were not surprised but proud that he was DotD

Tucker wrote Dogster HQ a note last year when Rupert was at the Olympics telling them he should be Dog of the Day. They ignored it!
Glad to see they came to their senses!

Deb - we were just seconding, thirding, fourthing, and on and on of your opinion of Rupe. Not every forum can state they have their very own mud wrestler & mud sauna lounging corgi now can they. We are very proud of him also and you weren't being rude - just stating a fact and we were agreeing with you wholeheartedly. Our very own absolutely terrific Rupe. Give him a kiss from me and the chipmunks.
