not fit for a dog
Went to a couple of agility championship meetings at the weekend and for the Saturday meeting, as usual, each entrant received a bag of goodies when they picked up their entry number/s and catalogue.
The bag of goodies was excellent in as much as everyone received two very good magazines and several chocolate bars - I'll tell you more of the mags in a moment. But here is the funny bit. One of the sponsors was a pet food distribuing company and gave away sample packets of food for each entrant. The trouble was, the food distributers had supplied CAT food packets in error. So those at the agility who had cats at their home were inundated with free packets of dry food for cats.
The magazines were a lovely glossy one called Pet which is a top selling New Zealand production (and I will be one of its writers), and the other is an American magazine called Clean Run - which is full of material for agility entusiasts. The edition we were presented with was August, 2006 and the front cover bore a marvellous photo of a Pem Corgi jumping over a long jump with a wild, excited smile on his face. His kennel name is Jumping Jack Flash and he has more title letters after his name for excellence in agility and Gods knows what, than I have had roast turkey.
