Okay.. cabin fever apparently wasn't enough here. We get to compound it by mom and baby both being sick.... got a pediatrician appointment for Justin this afternoon. I just hope they can do ANYTHING to help. He and I only got about 4 hours of sleep total last night because everytime he fell asleep his nose started running so bad he couldn't breathe and it would wake him up again. When that happened he was completely inconsolible.... until Checkers jumped up on the bed and laid his head down on Justin's chest. Justin pet Checkers nose twice and finally relaxed a bit and stopped crying. It was very sweet. Unfortunately, hubby is working 12 hours shifts right now from 7pm to 7am, so aside from letting me get a very quick nap in from 8-9am this morning he hasn't been able to help as much as he would like either. I am SO ready for spring and cold season to be OVER!!!

Oh yes! When I taught pre-school, I was always forced to get creative in the Winter. Sometimes I would just bundle them up in 8,000 layers and go outside anyway. Also "Simon Says" (which was really aerobics), and "Animal Walks" (which consist of the kids walking/hopping/running back & forth across the room like whatever animal I called out). Anything to drain the

ETA: I could use some Spring too!

One day last year (when I taught pre-k) it had snowed. We knew the snow would be melted by lunch time, so my TA had her hubby bring some sleds up to the school. Lou (my TA) and I pulled the kids around on the sleds. They had so much fun!

We are going to the lake this weekend, so I am hoping the weather is nice! I can stand the cool temperature, just don't want any wind. Poor Zip and Zia have to stay home with my son and daughter-in-law!
