Xmas Corgi presents - 12-08-2007, 09:27 PM

It might be interesting to know what you have brought your Corgi/s for this Christmas.

Don't tell Taylor, but he is getting a gift-wrapped basket from the vet clinic containing a large squeaking hedgehog toy, a packet of Hills Science chicken treat bars, a dog museli bar and a packet of baked pig's ears. He is also getting a gift or two from the retirement village he regularly visits.

Well, Duncan will be getting a couple of new toys to replace the ones he has destroyed since his birthday in May. Chloe, my corgi/chow mix, doesn't play with toys, but like I've said before, she loves TV and the fish in her pond we made for her. SO....I got a little one gallon aquarium and I'm going to get a couple of fancy tail guppies to put in it. I have a plant stand that has a little shelf that is eye level to her and I plan to put it there. That way, she can watch her fish anytime she wants. Not spoiled a bit, is she!
My friend sent a stocking for each of the dogs and one for the cat. Plus, the cat gets a can of chicken in her stocking from Santa. Now, if only buying for my husband would be as easy!

I forgot to mention that there is a picture of him with Santa Paws in the PWC picture gallery.

Well, as usual, i have gone overboard!! Don't let me have kids!!! Colby is getting a "mad" amount of new toys (balls, squeakers, loofah dog, stuffed "guys")..a HUGE stuffed bone that i couldnt pass up...a bunch of treaty things (bones, cookies) he already found his new kong wubba and christmas hedgie...and he just got a new bed recently...some new grooming tools...and he will be getting a new "corgi" to replace the one he has had since we got him...the old one is all un-stuffed and turned inside out and grungy....im sure ill find a few other things...

Lindsey, Sawyer is just so precious in that picture. They are really almost like little kids, take a lot of pictures, cause before you know it....you'll wonder where that little puppy went.

I know what you mean. The last time I saw him he was 41/2 weeks old and when I went to pick him up yesterday I thought, "my God he got bigger!" I've got a picture of the notorius "bunny butt" and "the sleeping on my back with all paws flat out" pictures. As soon as I get paid I'll get them developed and put on the web site.

I also have to say...but dang! Colby is a spoiled puppy!

Like Louwants replacement toys for her Duncan, Taylor's hedgehog will be a replacement for the one which a visiting Corgi named Alice destroyed the 'squeak.' For some reason, Taylor has never wrecked the toy sound from any quality toy he's had.

The Santa and Sawyer pic is exceptional.

Sounds like Colby is well catered for come Xmas.

But nothing so far beats Dincan, the Corgi who will get his own real life tropical fish tank/bowl and positioned at his level to observe with interest, while away the time and guaranteed to remove all stress. Perhaps its a world-first. Beats DVDs and CDs for dogs.

I must say, as an "only child" Westin is quite spoiled also.
I went on a little shopping spree the other day and got him five ((yes, FIVE)) new kinds of treats (some just for puppy class and some for home)! Two new squeak toys (a bone and a teddy bear) a "Molecu-ball", a KONG flyer (a lil rubber Frisbee for puppies) a bone made out of tennis-ball-like material....
and probably some more stuff that I won't remember till I go through the bags to wrap them!
But I can honestly say that I am the most excited for his rubber Frisbee!
He just runs so cute all ready, he's gonna be adorable! haha.

I got Waeryn a stocking and am going to cross stitch her name onto it. Then I'm going to fill it with treats and toys. I'm not sure exactly what's going to go in it yet, but I do know that it's going to be a lot! My bf and I are only 20, but we have been together for 2 and a half years and we are dying to have children already! We're waiting until at least I finish college and start working as a nurse for a little while so we have a better place to live and more money (so not for another 3-5 years). Waeryn is our little girl and so of course we can't resist getting her a lot of fun stuff for Christmas! I made stockings for both of my cats (Tucker and Daisy) last year and gave them some treats and toys, but it's just not the same. They don't really enjoy toys and much as puppies do. This year I have 5 new additons: Waeryn (of course!), My sister, my sister's friend, and my sister's two cats (Bebes and Boots), so I'm going to be busy with the stockings! It's kind of hectic right now because my place isn't big enough for all of these people/animals, but fortunately this is a temporary situation and soon my sis, her friend, and the other two kitties will move out.
