Westminister Aftermath - 02-17-2008, 11:10 AM

We've seen time and time again the failure of certain forum members to not be able to understand why other members do not respond with glee over such things as corgis rating highly in popular breed rankings such as the AKC puts out or when they get high profile publicity moments. For those who followed the Westminister threads, everyone now knows that history was made when Best In Show was awarded to the 15 inch Beagle, Uno. Demand for "Uno's" has already begun. So just to illustrate those of us who do not get giddy with excitement when Disney or whomever features a corgi in a highly visible role are not alone in our reactions, I'd like to share what is appearing in the responsible Breeder/rescue community after Uno's wonderful win.

So you want a beagle just like Uno??? Beagles are NOT for every family. Research the breed carefully and please work with a reputable breeder. Beware of those that have many puppies for sale 24/7 and just want your money. Also, low cost beagles in the newspapers are usually poorly bred by backyard breeders. Please consider a rescue! Read about what make a reputable breeder on this site...now watch this.... VIDEO

Well I guess it could be said reality isn't nearly as happy a place as Disneyland.
