Smile *~* Movie, " 8 Below "...

*~* My two children (Kyle: 12 & Sara: 11) watched it with me at the movie theatre and also at home on DVD.

It is based on a true story...YES.

There are some sad scenes in the movie...YES.

But, IMO (in my opinion) is is totally worth watching by ALL animal lovers and all movies lovers in general......BECAUSE it is a story about determination...strong will...unity...& triumph over adversity !!!

Even though there is loss (will NOT give the story line away to anyone)...there is also victory !!

The acting is NOT the greatest by the humans...the dogs did an outstanding job !

I would watch this movie again...and again.

Red face *~* Movie, " 8 Below "...

*~* OH, I forgot to mention...

YES...I did cry during this movie !!

But, with the sadness & empathy that I felt toward the dogs...I was also extremely PROUD of them ALL for their courage & strength !

Enough said...

** I would recommend this movie for anyone ! **

Thanks Cindy and others. I thought it must be a movie with a Corgi or Corgis in it. But of course it's not. To whoever started this thread : so much for working up my apetite for everything Corgi .
Anyway I don't usually appreciate said stories relating to animals of any description. King Kong was sad enough - and he may never had existed.
I did not enjoy for one moment that wolf getting shot and killed in that Kevin Spacey-acted film: Dancing With Wolves.

By the way, I had a special escorted tour of some of the King Kong sets, whilst the movie was still been produced, including the major sets of New York city - which were recreated only several miles from where I currently live.

Dances With Wolves was Kevin Costner, not Kevin Spacey - must have had "star dust" in your keyboard.

Okay - with all this strong endorsement I guess I will watch "8 Below"... but I will make sure to have plenty of tissues on hand!

I am afraid to see it. With 8 dogs in a movie like that . . . you know at least one of them has to die . . . and there is no way I can watch that. I'd be a sobbing mess.
