I saw it when it first aired on television. At the risk of sounding like a heretic, I was disappointed with what Disney did with it. For those who don't know, this was based on Rita Mae and Sneaky Pie Brown's book Murder, She Meowed

This is a series of murder mysteries based in a small Virginia town. The animals led by a tiger cat named Mrs. Murphy and a PWC, Tee Tucker figure things out way before the humans do and help solve the mysteries. Fun reads.

Yes I've seen that movie Linda!

But Debbie, I haven't heard of Murder, She Meowed, Debbie, sounds good, books only? Not a movie right?

Has anyone heard of the Japanese Movie "Cowboy Bebop"? A neighbor told
me about this and there is a Corgi in it and I have never heard of it. His description of it sounded strange.

Murder, She Purred was based on the book Murder, She Meowed - that is correct.

Here is the complete list:

Mrs. Murphy:
Wish You Were Here (1990)
Rest in Pieces (1992)
Murder at Monticello (1994)
Pay Dirt (1995)
Murder, She Meowed (1996)
Murder on the Prowl (1998)
Cat on the Scent (1999)
Pawing through the Past (2000)
Claws and Effect (2001)
Catch as Cat Can (2002)
The Tail of the Tip-Off (2003)
Whisker of Evil (2004)
Cat's Eyewitness (2005)
Sour Puss (February 28, 2006)

Now this series is fun too <imo>, no corgis, but revolves around a hunt club and foxhounds.
Jane Arnold:
Outfoxed (2000)
Hotspur (2002)
Full Cry (2003)
The Hunt Ball (August 30, 2005)

Cowboy Bepob? Guess it helps to have teenagers around. It is a genre called Japanese anime and did show on Cartoon Network. Ein the corgi featured in it is a "data" dog. I have a plush Ein some friends of my nephew brought back from a SciFi convention. <http://www.futureblues.com/> might fill you in a little better.

Okay Deb,

Thanks, I will check it out. I have teenagers, but I did not ask them about it.

Linda,

BlueNL6 made mention of Cowboy Bebop in the Little Dog Lost thread and their corgi is named Ein after the one in the cartoon.

Here's her summary:

Anyway they end up with this Dog as a pet and it happens to be a Pembrooke Welsh Corgi. It's name is Ein (short for Einstein). My oldest Corgi name is Ein after the dog in the show. The show is a little on the violent side and parents may not find it ok for small children. Like a lot of Japanese Animation, it's more geared for teens and adults. But the show is what brought my Husband and I interested in the Breed.
