Housefullofdogs

Hi:

My name is Sandy and I no longer have a house full of dogs. My daughter returned to New Orleans after Katrina and took her red and white Pem (Lola) and her Boston Terrier (Dexter) with her. I still have a red and white Pem (Emma) and Tri (Roe). I love the Corgi breed. The Boston Terrier is a good mix for a Corgi.

im so glad you wrote that Boston Terriers are good with Corgis because I almost got one before I got my corgi. Although I'm glad that I got my corgi instead, I do like those terriers. I also like the cairn terrier, but I think I'm going to get another Pem when I get another dog. Were your daughters' corgi and terrier with her in New Orleans or did they leave before the storm hit?

Hi Sandy,
I also have an Emma (she is fawn & white) and a tri, Chloe (black w/white & tan). Glad to hear your daughter was able to move back to New Orleans, hope all is well with her. My daughter-in-law was there a few months ago for a seminar and says there is still so much work to be done.

Welcome to the site

My daughter had sent the dogs home with me in May 2005 after she graduated Tulane. She had stayed for the summer trying to find work and left before Katrina hit. She was with us until the end of January 2006 when she moved back. She works for Abercrombie and Fitch and transferred from KC to New Orleans. The dogs went back with her in March. She is doing fine and we are hoping it will be a quiet hurrican season this year. Both dogs are fine. Sandy

What luck that they were able to avoid that disaster.
