Hi CorgiMom,
I do the overwhelming majority of my shopping online - Amazon, REI, Eddie Bauer, and oh yes, Ebay. I think I mentioned it in the other hobbies thread, but I am a huge sports nut, and one of the things I enjoy doing is collecting baseball memorabila, especially from the old-time players. No better source for that than Ebay. Since 1999, I have been burned exactly twice by unscrupulous people (people who had hijacked other peoples Ebay IDs' - do not respond to those spoof emails!!!) Both times, I'd made the purchases using Paypal, and, after investigating the transaction, they refunded my money. So I feel it's a very safe way to shop.-Debi |

We rarely shop on line - Once we ordered a baseball cap on line from some
University store - the next month our credit card showed a donation to some organization in Australia. I absolutely would not buy a puppy online - so many of those sites advertise puppies that make their breeding sound wonderful, but I think a lot of those ads are coming from a puppy mill type of situation. linda Last edited by corgimom; 08-15-2006 at 08:57 AM. |

I LOVE online shopping, especially around the holidays when it gets unbelievably busy--Ebay, Amazon (bought my digi cam recently), Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, oriental trading, paper companies...everywhere! So fun

I love to shop online. I have become such a homebody since getting the dog. I'd rather take him for a hike than go to a mall. Sure hope Lulu likes the woods!
Although.... I do believe God created Petsmart just for those rainy days when both Tuck and I are climbing the walls and just need to get out of the house! You have to love a store that allows you to bring your dog in with you. I just learned that my Home Depot will allow dogs if they are in the shopping cart! Who knew! My favorite store is Orvis. They have a sign saying "Dogs Welcome"! Here are a few links to cool, unusual dog stuff: http://www.dogsigns.com/ (got my Corgis at Play sign, Cardi Mailbox topper) http://www.k9gifts.com/ (got my tri pem painted mailbox!) And then for me.... There's talbots.com. Their sales on line are way better than in the store. But of course w/ 2 dogs now, Talbots no longer exists. Susan

Barbara,
We have bought several things on line with no problems... always make sure when you order there is a little lock icon on the bottom blue bar - this means the site is secure. Amazon, QVC, the few times I have used Ebay have worked out fine using PayPal.... one thing I'd never buy on line would be shoes some things you just have to try on...Of course wouldnt buy an animal on line BUT after seeing so many cute puppy pics lately I could be tempted to "borrow" one for a while ...just kidding Princess and Mocha ...maybe
