Smile *~* Car rides...

*~* Well...the kids are back to school !!!

That means that Midnight & Sunshine can, "go for a ride" and help me drop them off & pick them up ! My 2 girls LOVE to go in my truck. Their little bunny butts wiggle with excitement.

I always get to Sara's school first. I get there early...so that I can take Midnight & Sunshine for a walk around the playground. I bring my Wallmart shopping bags to scoop~the~poop. I walk them for about 20 minutes before the bell rings.

** Now that school is back in session for my kids...Midnight & Sunshine will get 3 walks a day !! **

There is a new principal at Sara's school...and she went nuts over my girls !!
She told me that her daughter has a Corgi named: "Magic".

Maybe, I can arrange a play~day with Magic ?? !! ??

Too cool...

Talking *~* Does ANYONE ELSE take their Corgi in the car..

*~* when they take their kids to school ? Do you also take them for a stroll to, "greet" all the school kids ?

I am just wondering...

{ I saw a cute Teacup Yorkie last year. One of the mothers at my daughter's school last year would bring the Yorkie to school in an adorable puppy purse.}

There is NO WAY that I could even carry one of my girls around in a purse !

I take Milo to the car for a ride too. He likes sticking his head out for a bit of the nice air and wind. Then, he lays on down my my lap for a nap afterwards. He really enjoys the car ride. I can never fit Milo in a purse either...but I wouldn't want to. He's not a toy dog. Small dogs are a big trend right now. I think they are convenient but corgis are athletic and energetic so they won't like to be carried around all the time.

Gizmo loves to ride in the car! He'll start pouting if we go too many days without a ride in the car. I usually take him to the bank (they give treats at the drive thru window), short trips to the store, a visit with grandma, picking up some fast food, or the exciting trip to the pet store. Lately we had some really hot weather and I wasn't taking him for that many rides. He got really pouty and would just stand next to the car when we were outside.
Dad will also take him to his work on occasions, he gets excited when he knows where he's going.
I've had people ask to pet him through the car window when I was at the store before. He never barks while waiting in the car, he just loves people.

Cody loves to go for car rides - my kids high school is less than a mile down the road; we live in a quiet neighborhood and I take Cody to pick them up or drop them off whenever I can. Whenever I ask him "if he wants to go for a ride" , he gets excited and goes to the door.

He is very calm in the van and basically sits in the middle seat and just lies down - anything further from the school and he is in his secured down car crate. When it starts getting cooler outside this fall, he will travel further places with me when I have to do errands - it's just been way to hot lately

Chloe also loves to "go for a ride"!! She is so calm - she just lies down on the back seat and chills out!! Of course, she is hoping that we are going to the park for a walk, but if we are just driving around that is okay, too!! Our bank gives dog biscuits at the drive-thru, so whenever we go to there Chloe jumps into my lap and waits for the tube to come back - with her treat!! One time they must not have realized she was in the car with me and didn't send one and Chloe sniffed and sniffed, and stuck her muzzle into the tube just to make sure I hadn't overlooked the treat!!

Just FYI, there is NO such thing as a "teacup" any breed. The teacup description is just a marketing ploy by less than ethical or scrupulous breeders to sell puppies and cash in on the celebrity fad of pocketbook pooches.

Back to the subject at hand - car rides are a favorite here as well. If one escapes by accident, an open car door is a sure fire way to catch it. And then we go for a short ride.
