    Peggy,
Your comments regarding guardian versus owner of a dog caught my attention. I haven't really heard the term guardian used before, but I live in the middle of nowhere I would be genuinely interested in hearing your opinions and what you meant about the animal rights issue, if you wouldn't mind writing me. Thanks.

By the way, thanks for your posts in response to mine, I appreciate your comments.

    good morning,

I will have to decide if the boys will be left together or apart after my vacation time with them. Their behavior during that time will determine that. I will have several weeks with them initially and hope in that time to be able to observe their interaction. If they "play nice" and I determine they can be trusted together,(as I hope they do) then they will be. If not I have the means to separate them if needed. I was mistaken, papers are not available for Leo or Randy, with or without extra money. That was an assumption of mine from past experience with a different breeder years ago.

Thanks for writing back. I have talked to her about the site and she should be getting on soon. They are ranchers so this is a busy time for them. I know that her female gets good vet care before, after and during pregnancy. I beleive she has had her pair tested for common genetic issues, but don't know for certain. I don't think she is in it for the money, as she takes forever to cash the check and her pups are below the average cost I have seen mentioned on the site. I did not pay for papers as I am only wanting a pet and don't plan to breed or show. I have a portable gate for restricting puppy/corgi safe areas of the house. I know what you mean there, Leo has gotten into things and had to earn more freedom. When Randy comes home they will both be restricted to some degree, but Leo will have one on one time with me in the areas he is allowed when I am home.

Hi Peggy. I plan to talk to my breeder about the PWCCA web site and some of your information. She is quite young and may not be the best source around for a Corgi. I returned to her when she told me about the new litter (unplanned as it turned out, they own both the parents) because I am so pleased with Leo and really wanted him to have a playmate during my work day. I understand that professional breeders like yourself have little tolerance for casual breeders and I respect that.

    Hi Peggy,
Just wondered where you are located in Utah? Donna's son lives in Logan, about an hour from Salt Lake. He's a professor at Utah State.
