Sweetly:

I did read your post, as did others, others whom you upset along with me. What I wrote was not just my opinion, I was just the "Idiot"who decided to respond in the forum, the rest kept it to private messages. I understand you perfectly, and that is why, in case you did not notice, that we put this thread to rest. You do not get it, nor will you, evidently, but trust me, the rest of us get it, quite clearly.

Sweetly: I know that I said that this thread should be dead, but please do not send private messages either, I do not care to read your rambling thoughts on politics.

It's funny how I wrote only two posts and people can go misinterpret and judge me based on that. My sole purpose on this forum is for my corgi - not a political diatribe with anyone.

I'm from NY and us New Yorkers don't deal with petty issues. And we also don't give a crap what other's think. I am here for the purpose of listening to other's wonderful corgi stories and to share information.

I have no doubt there are some people who are very small minded, judgemental, hypocritical, and rude. I will not respond to anything else that doesn't have to do with corgis anymore. Plus, I don't want to deviate the forum's main purpose - corgis.

It never ceases to amaze me how someone can actually produce written sentences - and not just say the spoken word - and yet the contents of the sentence (or sentences in relation to each other), can be taken out of context and used or abused. It has happened quite often to me in posting on Go Corgi.

The other thing I want to say si that Go Corgi is an international website and some of the items and references are not international and don't really belong here - especially if they focus away from the main subject matter.

NZ has lost more soldiers in war since 1900 than any other country on a per head of population basis. We were given a bum ride by Churchill during the First World War and there were some stupid decisions made also by the British during the Second World War that cost NZ lives un-necessarily. The joke goes that because of the time differential, we actually declared war on Nazi Germany before the Brits did in 1939.

But as I said, this kind of stuff doesn't belong here. I don't need to detail elections in NZ unless the outcome is relevant to dog ownership.

T-Gal(Deb)

Was nice enough to remind everyone to vote Would have been nice, if it would have been left as such. However, Michael, it was you who sort of got the "ball rolling" with your comments on the second post which prompted others to share their feelings.

And Mabel,

I really don't believe that all New Yorkers are that way.

Actually the original post in this thread was very relevant as there were a number of pet ownership and animal related issues on the ballots this past election. As many may have picked up on, I am very politically active from the local to the national level. Over the years I have come to believe that part of being a responsible pet owner requires a degree of political activism.

And mine did this past Tuesday.

Sweetly: I can see now that you just can't help yourself, and I forgive you for that, and feel sorry for you. You should also know that I am a native New Yorker, born and bred, Cental Park West, and the majority of my friends live there. I, nor they, are as you portrayed. Elections, war, and death are not "petty" issues, and we do "give a damn". We come to GOCORGI to learn and even relax, and it is one of the safest and cleanest areas on the internet that I have ever found, but there is always that one that makes it a hassle. It's a good thing that you can just be ignored.

Michael: We did not misinterpret anything, we are quite intelligent, and it is not the first time that Sweetly has done this. Some of us really take issue with her posts and her behavior.

I believe it took to my post - Number 18 - before the word dog was ever mentioned.

This thread is an example of why politics should be left out of gocorgi. I myself do not want to have personal biases based upon one's political opinions when discussing corgis with other board members.

I find this all a bit amusing to be quit frank. I think everybody needs to relax, and stop reading to deeply into things. If somebody writes something you don't agree with, don't respond. Epsecially when it has nothing to do with corgi's.

I do find it interesting how confrontational people become when discussing politics in the US. Opinions are opinions.

How bout them yankees (traditional catch fraise to change the subject, probably should be changed to how bout them corgi's in this case)
