Peggy - you are continuously misquoting me or making out something was said when it wasn't. I never said that Taylor was an inbred Corgi. I spoke of close relations (line breeding etc) and inbreeding - and he is a product of close relations. But you'll have no objections to inbreeding I'm sure, from breeders who apparantly suppose to know what they are doing.

This was what you said. Inbreeding was implied.

Close related breeding and inbreeding is rampant within the dog breeding to standard circles. My Taylor has the same greatgrandfather on both sides of his parents.

Just what is that supposed to mean?

No, I don't have objections if it's someone like Leslie Chalmers, or any of her caliber, in NZ, England, the US or where ever. It's not something any of them use often but when used on occasion it can be useful to gain a desired trait.

Inbreeding is not "rampant" in "the dog breeding to standard circles". Not with reputable breeders. It is done on occasion, not rampantly. Line breeding is common but again, done carefully.

The implication was pretty clear or at least that is how I interpreted your statement.

Obviously never heard of Brackett's theory on breeding.
