Thanks Cindy

Was he STUPID ?? No...just not aware of the emotional lifestyle his Canine has been enduring.

Some people love dogs..but, may not have the room or permission (permit to build) to build a fence. So, dogs have to be on a chain OR a zip~line...etc.

I am impressed that HUMANS actually did a challange like that. Of course....at first..they did it for THE PRIZE. But, ultimately in the end they saw & felt through a dog's eyes...how living tied to a chain outside.. really feels.

I have said this before...and I'll say it AGAIN--> empathy & compassion are
two traits that I wish MORE people would show towards eachother in this HUGE world of "ours" !

Believe me...every little bit...really DOES make a difference !

A neighbour of mine (Sylvia) has a dog named Judy who has just past her 16th birthday and still goes for hour-long walks. Sixteen years ago, my neighbour spied Judy as a little pup, chained to her kennel and exposed to the cold and snow of the winter. My neighbour went to observe poor Judy every day, bringing her some food and fresh water. Finally Sylvia, plucked up the courage and went to the farmer and demanded Judy for herself. Twenty dollars changed hands and Sylvia had a farm dog-pup and no where to put her. So Sylvia with her new pup had to leave the place they were staying and fly to her parents home where they are still living today. It was in seeing a miserable chained pup that brought the pair together. Judy is a most intelligent dog and my Taylor is very fond of her.

*~* Michael,
I get some opinions and comments from my Ex In~Laws about how I should leave Midnight & Sunshine outside when I go to work, run errands, go on VACATION...etc.

I think like this: I would not want to be left outside in the Misouri HEAT. I would not want to have to stay in my doghouse if it rains or snows.

Putting myself in my dog's paws (shoes ?) I can just imagine how they might feel.

I keep my girls INSIDE most of the day ! They are part of our family ! They are NOT, "just a dog (just dogs)" !

** Michael, tell your neighbor that I am impressed with her compassion & empathy for Judy ! Tell her that I am PROUD of her !

okay ??

Nikki - you are becoming the soul of Go Corgi.

Sylvia has entered Judy in the New Zealand Canine Heroes Awards in the Pet of the Year category. I am one of the judges of the awards and I'm not saying that Judy will win but against all the other competition, Judy probably fits the criteria better that the others: simply because she is a 'pet' and treated as a 'pet.' Judy's other 10 litter brothers and sisters were all drowned by the farmer. Only Judy lived because Sylvia had spotted her.

If you are interested in the 500-worded descripted details of Sylvia's entry let me know and I'll post it.

There are no Corgis this year among the entries for the awards. Last year my Taylor was an entry and he finished one of two runner-ups for Pet of the Year.

Keep your two beauties inside as often as you want. Taylor loves his outside life and the rides in the car and the walks/runs to all kinds of desinations and his socialising with people and dogs, but when he gets home again his greatest joy is being inside the house.

*~* It takes just a minute...to make a difference !

We all have been in a situation where you feel like, "Should I intervene ?"
When you see or hear innapropriate behavior...when your gutt tells you something is NOT right.

We feel like it is NONE OF OUR BUSINESS...we should just walk away...let it be !

The FACTS are: If noone ever stepped in...took control & intervened...there would be no HEROS in this world ! There would be no HOPE. There would be no FAITH. Bullies would always get away with their abuse. Victims would never be saved !

( IMO...it all started with : Jesus )
{ He was the first TRUE "hero" ! }

Where would this world be.....if we all just, "walked away" ?

I applaud all of the people who make a difference in other's lives just by taking the step to intervene...butt in...& help out.

Michael, YES...I would like to hear more about Sylvia & Judy.

( I get pretty deep...in thought...SORRY everyone )
