I recently discovered a Yahoo! group dedicated to bringing Corgi owners around the Minnesota/Iowa area together for a Corgi picnic in June (it's far off, but people in the Midwestern US states need warm thoughts for the Winter). Perhaps others know of it or have even attended. The link to the group is:

http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/mn_ia_corgi_picnic

The picnic takes place around June at a location central to Minnesota and Iowa residents. During the June 2006 picnic, $380 was raised for Corgi Aid and attendance was ~34 humans and ~30 Corgis.

I hope other members of the goCori community can make it to next year's picnic!

We took Chip to the TN corgi picnic that is held each May and had a wonderful time. We got to meet fellow corgi people and also our Debbie (Glencorgi) It was great. Chip won best tail on a pem for his proud mama. We are very much looking forward to attending next year.

I would love to take Duchess to a Corgi Picnic and hopefully meet some Gocorgi members. If any one knows of one near Massachusetts let me know, please.

Jane, here is a link that I posted before regarding picnics. It was for picnics this past year, but has names of contacts for different states. I saw MA on there with a name of contact. So maybe you can contact this person and they can give you some info for any picnics coming up in 2007

Here is another link I found showing a clip of a Corgi picnic - click on the
Picnic Video to the left - it is cute and shows a very "well rounded Corgi near the end"

Linda:

That was one of the best articles I have read on corgis and it was oh so true. I can't imagine a life without our corgis. Oh what some people are missing.
