On U-Tube: program on Singapore dogs

Found that the EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY , a Channel News Asia programme (last week's episode) is on U Tube.
Can see Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD)' president Ricky and his dog Winter, Dog Trainer Teik Woon, the touching story of a two legged dog and DFS work.

Enjoy!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I just love the Asian take on corgis, they catch the comical side so perfectly. My husband is Asain, and we love going to Asian stores that have Corgi artwork. We were in one just this past weekend.

Take care, and love your corgi!

I admit I cried watching those poor animals on the video. A great video. I saw the poor dogs who were abused or suffer. I'm glad they have loving owners now. I cannot imagine Milo suffering. I think anyone who loves their pets immensely will rather take the pain than to have them suffer.

A great video. Thanks for sharing. I saw those two famous corgis on the video and another one later on drinking water. Beautiful dogs.

I have such admiration for people who dedicate themselves to helping the overlooked animals. I know that I could do more than I do, and ond day, when my husband and I have slowed down in work, we will. But for now, we do financially help the Humane Society where we adopted our cats and I strongly recommend that everyone help out the shelters in any way that they can because there are so many forgotten dogs and cats out there that do not have it nearly as good as the Corgis on this site. They should all be so blessed, but they are not, so help out when you can!

If you don't have the time and resources like us, you can donate. I have donated before. It means a lot. A little bit goes a long way. Much love to all the animals in the world.

This is the website of ACTION FOR SINGAPORE DOGS ie ASD (Ricky the President was featured in the video with his stray dog WINTER). They take in many of the "no-hopers" (car accident/abused/abandoned strays).

The SPCA in Singapore practice 'mercy killing'. A big proportion of dogs and cats surrendered to them are killed. Hence the rise of groups in Singapore like ASD which refuse to take the easy way out (killing the less promising dogs and focusing on 'prevention education' etc).

I got one my my dogs (not corgi ) from ASD. Car accident victim. Head of femur bone totally crushed. Thanks to ASD and vet- dog (then a pup) had a major operation and is now able to run and jump.

A friend of mine has a GSD sized dog from ASD. It has no back legs. See pix below. Probably industrial accident. Miraculously the dog's wounds didnt fester (maybe some kind soul put some medicine on it). ASD found the starving dog (then a pup) in a drain. Passed it to my friend who is a fosterer....The dog has since grown fatter and his wounds have healed. They are now waiting for wheels to arrive from USA (someone has donated it)...so that the dog can 'walk' again...rather than drag himself around on his backside and front legs.....
