Taking your Corgi 4 a picture w/ Santa - 12-20-2006, 11:44 PM

I wanted to take Yoda to the mall the other day... they were allowing pets to get a photo with Santa. However, they were charging the same price as they were for children... and with how much money I've spent on x-mas gifts, I simply could not afford it. I was bummed! I guess there is always next year though, It is Yoda's first Christmas, so this meant a lot for me to do for him. He would have been sooooo excited to sit on that Santa! Anyways, he's getting lots of presents this year. What are you guys getting for your Corgi(s) this Christmas? I gotta get him his own stocking... that's for sure! I've found such cool Corgi dog items on ebay. You've gotta check that out!

I had Chip's shopping all done until last night when I went to Pet Partners. They have the cutest little Ty mouse there that I just have to get. Hope there is room in his stocking. Chip got his picture taken with Santa at Petsmart. The price wasn't bad and I got 4 poloroid shots - it was lots of fun.

The Girls are getting -shhhhhh - rawhide candy canes, a toy bear hide with squeakers to share, liver treats, and a new stuffed toy each and a compressed bone each. Because it is also Chloe's 1st birthday she is getting an extra toy and a ham sandwich. Something tells me Emma will also get a smaller piece of ham too...

I can't even remember all the stuff I bought for Jackie - here are some that I recall - a box of cookies from 3 Dog Bakery, quite a few of those Dr. Noy's toys with no stuffing, a few new treat balls, a few Christmas themed dog toys that play Christmas carols, a new sparkly ID tag to go on her bling collar, those granola bones that have been raved about by some of our gocorgi pals . . . the list goes on and on . . .

Mazie is going to be completely spoiled this Christmas. She will get gifts from me and my husband - and she will get toys and treats from both sets of Grandmas and her Aunt Lynda. There will be no living with her next week .

I'm glad I'm not the only one who went overboard shopping for a corgi christmas!

Foxy is getting...a rawhide candy cane, rawhide chew sticks. a ham bone (she loves these), and some peanut butter treats. I held back on the toys because everyday is Christmas when it comes to toys and Foxy. Plus, both sets of "grandparents" will be here with toys, for sure.

I actually wrapped her presents and put them in a paw-stocking on the mantle. She was so intrigued when I let her check it out!

Unfortunately, money is tight this year so Checkers is only getting a soccor ball to play with. We discovered during unpacking that he loved to chase our daughter's ball but we didn't want him to puncture it so he is getting one of his own. As for cookies and such, he made out so good at the Utah Corgis Christmas party that we felt we didn't need to add to that stash any LOL.

This being our first year with Joni, she is getting some good stuff. A tunnel to run through, a kong, lots of chews. The best though is that we ordered a few corgi books. Corgiville xmas and Corgiville fair, The Courageous Corgi, Titus Rules, A Guide to Pembroke Corgis. All excellent selections to read with Joni.

Tucker is getting a lump of coal and Lulu is having Hermie the Dentist pull all her teeth so she can hang out with the Bumble.

Ok, I was kind of kidding......

The "chew-twins" are getting new Nyla Bones (again!), their favorite filled bones, New and Improved Greenies, and a number of new toys w/o stuffing! Oh, including the Planet Dog holiday lightbulb!

Lulu is getting Obedience Class renewed and Tucker is getting another session of Agility Class.

In other words, everyday is Christmas at our house!

Susan:

You are too funny. I read that and laughed. Chip this morning stole the remote and slid in under the bed and chewed it up all in a span of less than a minute. I think I am going to write Santa Paws and tell on him! This is the third remote.

Neither of mine, so far...., have been into remotes or cell phones, etc. Thankfully!

I just discovered over the weekend that miss Lulu stands up on her hind legs, looks out the window, and casually chews the window sill while standing there watching the world go by. Ughhhhh!
