Taylor and i had a wonderful day today down at the Upper Hutt Dog Training School of whuch we are members.
It started in the morning with an agility Link competition. Link is New Zealand wide and every agility club participates. They use syncronised agility courses that any dog can enter = from beginners to the most experienced - and there is a national tally for individuals as well as team points. My club had a bad day, only one clear round and Taylor was the last competitor as the only mini dog. He went right through a failry complicated course clear until the last two hurdles and the long junp. Having been in the two hour Corgi walk etc the day before, Taylor's energy levels were not high, and he knocked over a rail in each of the last two hurdles and somehow managed to knock over a long jump board as well - his first ever fault with the long jump
Then we stayed around to help construct a large puppy outdoor enclosure on a nicely grassed surface at the training school complex as well as do some plantings and other work. Lunch was provided for the humans but I left Taylor's treats in a bag in my travel bag and a pack of dogs uncovered it and stole the food right in front of Taylor and Taylor did nothing to stop them. Taylor had a great time in mucking around with the other dogs for several hours and playing with an eleven week old Border Collie named Bess.
