Okay now, it is less than a week to our scheduled Playdate at Kingston State Park. Does anyone think they may bring something to eat or share? I have a few ideas of what I might bring whether or not anyone else chooses to. One hot meat dish and one cassarole.

Hot or cold drinks may go well depending on the weather. Should we make a list?

I don't want anyone to think they have to bring something other than themselves and dogs.

If you know someone who has a corgi please invite them along.

We'll bring something! We can't wait to come Got out early for that day from work so we'll be there! I'll just need directions

how many Corgi's are estimated to come so far? I've spread the word as well to some others.

I am gratified to hear these responses.
So far the number of dogs that are counted is twelve.. There should be at least a few more.
Be sure to bring your cameras and take lots of pictures.

Tiffany, you said you had been in the area before to go to Derry. Which routes have you used?
Kingston Park is right on West Main St in Kingston NH. which is just off route 125. On Mapquest I got a good map of the area. If you come up the Mass pike then you would take 495 and get off at 125 and go through Haverhill to Plaistow and continue to Kingston.( In Plaistow, just above Haverhill there is a fork in the road where 125 veers to the right)
When you come to a set of lights at the intersection of 125 and route 107 take a left onto Scotland Rd. there is a stop sign at the next intersection. Continue after the stop sign accross the street you will see a Kingston State Park sign. If anyone has better directions or corrections please post them.

Possible glitch -- I went by the State park last week and the front gate was closed. I don't know if it was closed because it was the middle of the week and it'll be open on the weekends or not. I'm positive that we have driven in and down to the parking lot before with the dogs during the off season but unless the front gate is open, we can't do that. We could still park along the road out front and walk in but it's about an 1/8 to 1/4 mile walk to the picnic tables and water. There's still plenty of play area before that for us to meet at though if we don't want to do the full walk in. I think as long as we've come this far, we should continue with our plans and if the gate is closed, just park and walk in a little bit until you see everyone. Right now the weather is forcast as sunny and 68 degrees. Doesn't get much better than that. See you all soon.

I would like to echo what John said. I just found the same thing when I made a "dry run". As he, said it is a little late to change our plans if we can possibly avoid it. There may be a lot of other cars parked along the road but there is also a bit of parking space across the street from the park. We could use the front gate as a drop off spot for people, chairs, food etc... We wouldn't need to go far into the lawn to set up chairs for those who don't want to walk in further.
If the front gate is open we can drive right in to the picnic tables. Otherwise bring some chairs or a blanket to sit on.
To make it easier to spot cars that are arriving should we all put a yellow ribbon on our antennas, those of us who have antennas?

I want to bring this up again so no one forgets to come on Sunday at 1 o'clock. You will need your chairs (and we could use a table,I don't have one to bring .) Doggy poop bags, ( I know everyone will be responsible but just in case) Bowl for water. I have a gallon of water.
For human consumption, so far the food that is being brought is baked beans and barbarque kielbasa, chips and I think some cookies. I have bowls, cups and utensils. Don't think you have to bring any food, just if you want to.
Pray for nice weather. We will still meet if it is a little damp. May cancel for a downpour.

checked the forecast! so far so good

I think I'll be bringing brownies and probably some crackers or something.

My poor bf was so looking forward to running around with the Corgis.. now he can't b/c he bashed his knee with the end of a sledge hammer so his knee is all sorts of swollen.. Looks like he'll be hobbling around with the Corgi's instead. Poor guy

I was through there on my bike today. Be careful walking in. The road is covered with wet leaves and slime. Very slick.

Colby! Cooper speaking,

Daddo (Aaron) will be coming. He says he will be hobbling with all of us Corgi's even if he is mildly crippled at the moment. His knee is so grossly huge right now.. Mom says that Grandma says that he may have chipped it Poor daddo.

I'm not entirely sure what Mom will be bringing for snacks but should be something yummy!!

Can't wait to meet everyone!! Hemi has been cranky today.. maybe he'll be more excited tomorrow after the long car ride.. I don't know why he love to stick his head out the window so much!?!

-Cooper. OVER AND OUT!
