fall 2007 ma/NH corgi playdate - 09-05-2007, 08:00 AM

How many of you are interested in getting together about the middle of October, Sunday 21 or 28? There is a possibility we can meet at Kingston State Park or North Beach in Hampton. Other suggestions welcome. All corgi and wanna be corgis are invited.
Plan on taking pictures or having pictures taken. A group photo would be a nice momento.
More details as the schedule evolves. Jane

I also want suggestions for a name for our local group, and the next date before the end of the year.

What do you think of:

Border Corgis
Coastal Corgis
New England Corgis
Tri State Corgis?

So far as I know Kingston State Park allows dogs in the "off season". They have a website that says (I am told) no dogs allowed. We will have to check on that. As long as we are all willing to pick up dog litter they should not have a problem with it.
Do you live in the area? I live in Mass on the NH border and some of our members come from Merrimac Mass, Hampton, Kingston, Salem NH

We should be able to do either date...

We need to make sure dogs are OK at either location

Sorry I've been absent a while, school is back in full swing for me, now going into week 4 and as I shared with Jane in another email, we are in the beginning/midst of a huge renovatuon at our house, new garage (!!!!!), being built mostly by Jamie himself. So you all pick a date, time and place and if we can possibly make it, we'll be there.

Take care everyone.....Julie, Jamie and Colby

Yes, we'd love to see everyone. Kingston State Park should be perfect for our get together. I checked their site and their officially 'closed' which is perfect. No charge and just walk in. We go their many times in the off season, through the winter with our dogs and never have any problems. I don't know if we'll all be able to drive in but usually we can (until snow falls at least) so I think we'll be able to go down to the parking lot and meet under the Pine trees where there's picnic tables and lots of room to play or even take a dip in the water. I'm agreable to any date but think the earlier the better to take advantage of beautiful weather. I look forward to seeing you all again.

Congradulations on your new addition! How old is Ruby and how did you come to get her?
Thanks for giving us the information about Kingston State Park. I have picked out the Sunday of Oct. 21st as the playdate or the following Sunday as the raindate. That should give us all time to make our plans.
If I don't hear any opposition to the date and time (1 P.M.) or location I will start to make contact with some corgi people that are not on this website.
Hoping there are lots of corgis and family there at Kingston. Jane

Hemibee, Would you be willing to drive all the way accross the state to come to our 1-2 hour playdate? Love to have you!

We could plan a picnic there, Pot Luck type thing.

I don't know if the toilet facilities will be available while the park is closed.

Jane, When is the playdate? let me know! I work from 430am until 930am @ the airport in Windsor Locks Ct.. so i won't get home until a little after 10am. The mass Pike is about 15 mins from me.. I wonder how long it'd take?

Looks like I may end up with my new Cardi sooner than I thought!

let me know!

Tiffany

It may be a bit of a haul but we would love to see you there if you can make it,..and seeing your cardi pup might be just the thing we need to "push" us the rest of the way as we are thinking Colby may be needed a brother???

Hope to see you soon....

Tiffany, Look back at #8 on this thread. That is the time and place I have decided on if there is no objections from the group. Keep checking in with Gocorgi for the latest information.
Someone coming so far to join us will give us a boost. I think this will be our best gathering yet, weather permitting. Jane
