Upcoming Dog Park Meetups - Austin, TX - 01-12-2008, 10:19 AM

Having still no luck in meeting other Corgi people in Austin, I figured I could at least post the dog events I'm attending with Charlie. Hopefully some Central Texas area Corgi owners will happen across GoCorgi and join us!

Today 1/12/08 (sorry, short notice):
Norwood Estate Dog Park at Riverside and I-35.
4PM
This is a Small Dog Meetup group for dogs under 30 lbs. (If you have a 35 lb Corgi, I doubt anyone would complain.) We'll be in the fenced section of the park reserved for small dogs.

Saturday 1/19/08
Georgetown Bark Park, Georgetown, TX
12:30PM
This is an Off-leash Meetup Group for dogs of all sizes. Georgetown Bark Park does have a separate fenced area for under-30lb dogs if your dog is afraid of larger dogs. The group coordinator is a professional dog trainer who will be giving a short education session on dog park etiquette.

Here are a couple more dog events upcoming in Austin (still not Corgi-specific).

Sunday 01/27/08:
Dog Party organized through Yelp.com
This is an all-breed, all-sized-dog event starting with a hike at 11:30am at Bull Creek District Park and ending at Freddie's dog-friendly restaraunt.
Details: http://www.yelp.com/events/austin-do...-eat-and-drink...
(Charlie and I are not planning to attend this event, but check it out if you're looking for something to do Sunday. The weather should be great!)

Saturday, 02/02/08:
Norwood Estate Dog Park, 1:00PM
I35 at Riverside Drive
This is a Small Dog Meetup group for dogs under 30 lbs. (If you have a 35 lb Corgi, I doubt anyone would complain.) We'll be in the fenced section of the park reserved for small dogs. This group plans to meet every 1st and 3rd Saturday.
(Charlie and I will be attending this meetup if the weather is nice.)

Saturday, 02/16/08:
Norwood Estate Dog Park, 1:00PM
I35 at Riverside Drive

(Charlie and I will probably miss this one and attend the Georgetown meetup on Sunday.)

Sunday, 2/17/08
Georgetown Bark Park, 2:00 pm
Another small dog meetup at the new Georgetown dog park. This park also has a separate fenced area for dog under 30 lbs.

(Charlie and I will be attending the Georgetown meetup, weather permiting.)

Pictures from Norwoord Estates last 02/02/08. Charlie finally met some other Corgis!
