Starting this new thread with the new aspect of the study PennHip I had no problem with. Hopefully some of the silent majority will be close enough and interested enough to help with the research and take advantage of having their Pembrokes xrayed. The one that got me was your welcome to the new member and his puppy from Australia with the invitation to participate in the PennHip study. Debbie |

These types of posts are a learning experience to many of us who are too busy in our lives to do research but the subject may impact our lives down the road. Michelle has chosen to change her signature line and that should end the controversy. In every forum there is never going to be 100 percent agreement on anything and some of us have seen overkill many times and opt to ignore it rather then bring attention to it in other threads.

Not all studies can be cross country or in "prime markets." If someone is interested enough they will find the way to get their dog where it needs to go, regardless of distance.

They may not be, but my vet is now accredited by PennHip; Through conversation with him recently I found out he is, when I took my cat in for a check up; so check with your vets if they are. Michelle, you didn't mention if they would take x-rays(and who would pay for that?) from our local vets who are accredited? |

And I'm sorry again for the stir it caused; I won't post any more about it. |

Michelle,
Please continue to post about it. We welcome all topics at GC and although sometimes one or two people do not like the topic, we cannot cater to everyone so feel free to post as it seems the majority is interested.

Debbie is right there are Philly corgi groups. They have a corgi picnic and get togethers. You can Google them and there is actually a link to one on another forum, you've posted on. I think if you get the word out to them, you may have more owners who could realistaclly participate in the study. It's all fine and well for those who find the it interesting, but the bottom line is you need dogs to test. There aren't very many people (or at least ones that post) on this forum in the area you're looking at. I live in PA..on the wrong side, and am too tied up to cross the state right now.
