Hi Nikki - are you on dogster? You can do a search on there for corgis in your area, then send them a "dogmail" and see if they want to have a playdate. I recently had one with one of Jackie's dogster pals who lives in CT. You could also form your own "group" for corgis ni your area.

Some of the creme de la creme of Breeders live there, the commercial breeding industry center is located there, everything from excellent reputable/responsible to bottom of the barrel in the breeding community. I'd put up notices in the libraries, get the word out among the veterinarians, tack and feed stores are another place. Once the dog park is set up, then see if they would let you put up notices. Our dog park has a website and that would be something you could utilize if the Springfield park has one. It is just going to take some time and patience to get the word and feelers out and see IF there is any interest.

I have made play dates w/ other Corgis by watching these lists, Corgi-L, Dogster.

I wonder if posting a note at Vet clinics would get you anywhere?

My dog training club tends to have bigger dogs. Tuck's buddy Scooter (another Pem) and 2 JRT's are the only small dogs.

Most of his playdates are dogs met at daycare, Obedience Class, or Agility class.

Good luck though! Nothing like seeing these rolly-polly tummies rolling around with their short legs in the air!
