would I be out of line to say that our corgis are cuter than the Queens' corgis? I would not add the "na na na na" - now that would be disrespectful

just teasing Queen Elizabeth! we'd love to have you join our group...

I just love this thread. My husband and I just got back from London yesterday. We hoped to see a ROYAL corgi at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle but no such luck!!!! Although, there were so many pictures of the Queen and her corgis. (what a wonderful lady) We spoke with our taxi driver on the way to the airport about the queen and her corgis and he said that corgis are not a popular breed in London but they are more popular in Ireland and Wales because it is more rural. Oh well at least the Queen gets it!!!!!

When we arrived in London and turned on the TV there was a story on the British News Network-SKY news about the royals year in review. They showed this story about the Queen and her corgis. I about died. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Well not really but you understand the excitement. It was the Queen and she was walking around with her corgis.

The Queen movie did have corgis walking about in one of the trailers. I cannot wait to rent it. Wonder when it comes out on DVD?

The Queen ROCKS!!!!!!!!

You will find that Corgis are in far greater abundance in England ( which of course includes a lot of rural and semi-rural areas/regions) than they are in Wales or Ireland. In fact, the Welsh don't rate Corgis all that highly and there are far less Corgis in Wales than you would imagine.

Actually Ireland was were my wife and I fell in love with the breed.

We Saw our first one in Doolin Ireland running around a rural store.

Then we got to play with a Corgi and a German Shepard in the Common by Blarney Castle. We sent about a 1/2 Hour with them and their owner.

After that we were hooked...

Well here's one part of Wales where there are corgis- I have two and my friend has five.
