Just to expand on what I stated earlier. Chris is correct. We only roll Nick over on his back when he is in a relaxed state. We never do it as punishment. Besides his belly is spotted and it's my wife loves his spotted belly! Thanks for the clarification Chris. If I would ever flip Nick over while he was excited I would most certainly get bit!

When we first got Taffy she was very food protective. She would growl and scrap with the Chipmunks. Our breeder told us to put her in time out and that is what we did, each and every time she started a scrap. I also would sit on the floor and hand feed the three of them and make each wait their turn for a cookie or piece of dog food. She also had a hair trigger temper and I put her in the crate for just a few minutes each time she would growl or scrap with the boys. Now she rarely loses her temper and will eat beside them without any problems. Patience and time outs worked for us. She also bit me a couple of times when I would pick her up while she was in her little temper tantrum mode, she hasn't done that in a long time. Time outs really work and you don't have to leave them in there very long at all. She is now 5 months old. good luck

I recommend you call his breeder and talk with him/her. The breeder should always be your best and first resource.

I know if this were a puppy I'd placed I'd be more than happy to help you with any problems.

Oh yeah, he's a Red White Pem puppy.
You got him at 8 weeks and he's now 11 weeks? And he's had three baths? So that's one a week.

He does not need that many baths. Shoot once a month is more than enough. In fact I don't bathe my puppies or any of my dogs unless they get very dirty. Try just brushing him instead of bathing him so often.

That is the best suggestion, most breeders have a wealth of information and are more then willing to talk to you. Taffy has only had one bath since we got her and that was because she decided to help me scrub the shower floor while I had cleaner on it so off to the kitchen sink she went for her own bath. I have used those tushie pads alot on her little pantaloon area though.

I gave Charlie a bath on March 1st, first bath since Nov 1st. Huge difference bathing a 4 month old versus 8 month old! Bathtime is the only thing so far that he hates. I made a mental note to pick up one of those non-skid bathtub mats for next time!

Westin gets a bath once a month.
(without fail!) and I only decided on that after we had another one of these discussions on a different thread.
When we first got him, we bathed him about once every week or two, and I think it started the foundation work for him not hating the bathtub. I don't think it's BAD for them to get frequent baths (it's not like he's outside herding every day and needs his natural oils) but make sure you watch for sensitive and dry skin! At about 3.5 months, we moved his bath time to once a month instead of every to every other week. And he doesn't hate the bathtub! We just leave the faucet running on low and he sits under it and waits till we are done (cause he knows theres something good in it for him if he behaves, I think!!) =D good luck!

The more frequent the baths, the more likely that a Corgi is gong to accept them and enjoy them. To a large majority of Corgis, regular baths are enjoyed once accepted and some of the reasons are: one-on-one attention from the owner, shampooing and towel-drying properly is just the same as body massaging, further teaming and bonding between dad/mum and Corgi, the good feel of luke-warm water, the several times soon after the bath that comes the grooming (brushing and combing), the scent from some of the shampoos, getting free of lots of mites and scratching-promoting things.
