This picture is of our Betsy who was put to rest December 2005. This picture was taken about a week before that. We still think of her and miss her daily. We know she is waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for us with her cat brother, Sam.

Hi Linda:

She sure was beautiful. I tried to do a "In Memory" of Dig and just couldn't. The tears wanted to flow. I wonder when it gets better? It's been 5 months now and the grief is still raw sometimes. Sorry

Chips mom,

It was hard for me to put that up also. That picture is difficult for me to look
at because it seems like just yesterday she was by my side.

Maybe I will try again in a few days. I cried half way through Sunday school today at Church. The people there must think I am crazy. Oh well - All for the love of a corgi - even the mixes are grand.

Betsy looks like an Angel Linda, such a sweet, sweet face.

Chip's mom, we lost our Thomas almost 9 years ago, I haven't been able to post yet either. But I will.

Betsy sure travelled exceptionally well. By that I mean she did not show her age. In general terms, female Corgis don't retain their looks etc as well as the boys can when they get over the age of ten. But more so in his respect are the litter producing females.

Our past vet estimated that she was at least 2 when we adopted her and we had her 11 1/2 years. So in that picture, she was at least 13 1/2 - but her current vet felt she was at least 14 to 14 1/2 - we never knew for sure. It is hard to tell in that picture, but she had bad cataracts and hearing was not that good.

What a lovely face she had Linda, she looks so sweet.

I have found it very helpful to post Riley's memorial here, even though it is so painful to write about her. It's wonderful to share these beautiful dogs with others who care. These little characters were obviously a very big part of our lives and it's nice have a fitting place for them to be remembered.
