Thumbs up Pumpkin

With all of the pumpkin talk last week, I decide to get some and try Barb's method of giving 2 TBSP's mixed in Jackie's food. She LOVED it! And this led to a revised recipe for homemade Frosty Paws . . . PUMPKIN FLAVOR!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 can of pumpkin
32 oz. of plain yogurt
2TBSP of honey
Whisk ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour into cups & freeze.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We tried this out over the weekend, and it was a HUGE hit - just as popular as the peanut butter flavor!!! We even used it to distract Jackie while grinding her nails last night . . . worked like a charm!

Thanks for bringing this wonderful gourd to my attention!

Jessica,

I will try this - I think Cody's tummy will handle the pumpkin better than the peanut butter ones.

Pumpkin is very good for dogs. And they like it raw which is even better. But boiled or roasted/baked is ok as long as there is no unhealthy oil/butter involved. A great combination is grated carrot and grated pumpkin.
