Bless that little girls heart - she is so adorable. In my Betsy's last year, she had a hard time standing up while on a tile floor - her hind legs would just
split wide apart. We carried her up and down the stairs whenever she wanted
to go up with us.

Our Betsy would wait for us at the bottom of the stairs until we would come get her. In the morning, I would carry her down so she could go out potty. My husband was afraid that I was going to fall down the steps in the morning while carrying her because I was half groggy myself at 6 a.m. - the ramp that he built her outside was great and like I said before, we still have it up because it is much better to take Cody out in the winter on that(with the indoor/outdoor carpet on it, versus icy steps.

hello,I am benji owner,I like your lovely gal Monty.Benji is same age with monty ,reaching twelve years old birthday on Sept.He is doing fine and very active except that he has developed cataract on his eyes.I have send him to vet last week and after medication (a kind of eye drop)he seem to have improve on his vision.I am so happy to see that.nIce knowing you ,and we do have a blog too at www.cupidpet.com. But because of my busy working lately have not update the blog much.will catch up with you and update me if monty get better.God Bless Monty.

Hello Barbara and Barbara,
I am new to the group and just read about Monty's spine problem which started last summer. I had a corgi who had degenerative myleopathy and eventually became paralyzed in both her rear legs. How is your dog doing ? It sounds like Monty's symptoms are similar to the ones that Bandit started with. Please let me know at crb5068 @yahoo.com
