Way to go Debbie!!! Isn't it fun to see your dog's name in the rankings?

This boy's call name is Russ. Kim-his human mom actually just sent that to me this morning. We are so proud of that little monster. We originally placed him as a companion pup and a future therapy/service dog. He was a very reserved puppy who we thought needed some extra attention rather then become a show dog right away. His new mom took lots of extra time and effort-obedience classes, conformation classes and play dates. It helped him come out of his shell and now he's a first class show pup-he knows when he walks in that ring, it's all about him. She does all the hard work and then hands him to me to go in the show ring.

Russ also went out his weekend and took his 2nd major! He's now at 8 points and we are going to hold him back a little, waiting for the National Specialty coming up in KY. Let's see he was WD, BOW, Best Puppy and Puppy Group 2 this weekend.

photos from the first show are up on the website:

It is a real kick! Bru-bear needs the last single now and hopefully will pick that up in Franklin, TN at the supported entries there. His blue brother finished at under eight months, and the day he finished was Bruin's first show. Bruin went reserve to BJ's winners dog, both from the bred by exhibitor class. That was pretty sweet!

The puppy groups are a lot of fun. A litter stinker girl I "raised" through her puppyhood went Puppy Best In Show at shows in Wilmington, NC this past October. Her rosette was about as big as she was. <LOL>

I had a feeling your puppy was the one you had posted about. <VBG> It really is great when the family is having so much fun along the way too and he is doing outstanding!

It really is great when the family becomes as involved as they are. He's a great pup and I am so pleased that they are going along with the plans we have for him. First and foremost though, he will be a therapy dog and work with special ed classes at the high school where his boy attends. He is extremely good with kids so has a calling for the work. Show dog is just a side venture, but a fun one at that!

BTW--he does have his own blog too if anyone is interested in his latest capers. Cardi Corgi Capers by Russ

Russ is a wonderful puppy (even though he's a bit obnoxious at times...hehe). I feel proud that I was the first one to give him a group placement (even though it was a puppy group placement, it still counts!)

Now Phantom, on the other hand, isn't so impressed with the 4 legged kiddo...hehe He just likes Russ' Mom.

Congrats, Cindy!!

Didn't help that Russ chose to introduce himself to Boo by barking at his butt.

And might I add the Big Rus aka Sherilyn's hubby, was helping me out with the boys at the first show and was on the north end of the lead for that WD 4 pt major win.

We love to confuse people. The human is Big Rus and the puppy is Lil'Russ.

So was it Big Russ or Lil'Russ who was barking at Boo's butt? Heehee...

Hmmmmm....at that particular time, it was Lil' Russ, or the 4 legged Russ. Big Rus, the 2 legged Rus, was on the other end of Phantom's (aka Boo) lead, trying to show him for BOB, when Lil' Russ decided he was going to bark around the ring at everyone, and I could see Boo just cringe...it wasn't a pretty sight! LOL We showed together this month again, and no problems this time, I think Boo has learned to just ignore the youngster!

Do we have you totally confused now??? hehehe
