Second Chance Pets is having their Dog Parade this weekend. I adopted Katrina kat from them after she was rescued during the storm in Metairie, LA. They have prizes for largest dog, smallest dog, costumes, longest tail, and the class I think Liam is a sure thing to win - shortest tail!

The dog that won the "Fastest Tail Wagger" yesterday had a stump of a tail. I am picturing the dog's backend but for the like of me, can't remember what kind of dog it was! It was this little stub... maybe the Charpei?
I had never seen a grown Charpei up close. This one had that precious face but the baggiest ankles!!!! He looked so funny. I also got smooched by another happy Bernese Mtn Dog. Has anyone ever met a Berner that wasn't the happiest thing on the planet? They are 100 lbs of sheer joy.

sharpei has a tail not a nub, so it wasn't that...hmmm now i wonder what else has saggy ankles LOL!
I love the berners they are so sweet, we had one in our obedience class- funny thing- Dillon was one of the smallest dogs in that class, his classmates were 4 or 5 newfoundlands ( it was a drop in obedience class so sometimes it was only 4 other times 5) a Bernese Mountain dog, an irish wolfhound, a rotweiler, two rough collies and one smooth, one german shepherd, one shetland sheep dog, one australian shepherd ,one cocker spaniel, one golden retriever, a poodle, a lab and a greyhound. What an interesting mix this was...Dillon loves newfies! Emilie |
