Talking No Tail... - 04-30-2008, 01:57 PM

So I was walking Copper the other day around our neighborhood. It was a very nice day so there were lots of kids out playing. Copper usually gets a lot of "can I pet your dog" cause he is so short. We stopped to let a little girl pet him and her bothers were on the porch playing. When we walked by her brother yells out. "Nice dog! Too bad he doesn't have a tail." I didn't really say anything to him, but I did giggle all the way home.

I thought it was pretty cute and had to share this little story with others that understand my dog with no tail.

yes, i think that the ones who point out the no tail thing the most are the little kids. they always asked what happened to his tail haha. i think it is adorable when he wags his little stub, too!

When I take Taylor into school classrooms, thats the most common question I get - the tail or lack of it.

Copper has no nub, but where it would be you can see the muscles move when he is really excited! It is super cute!

People occasionally ask me why I decided to keep my corgi's tail. Sometimes I am tempted to have a little fun with those folks but I behave and explain to them that Nick is a Cardigan
