A Girl Named "Space Cowgirl Ein" - 05-06-2008, 03:29 PM

Day 1
I was picked up early this morning, at around 8:30. I had already known this lady that was coming this morning, and I rushed out the door to greet her. I immedately ran up to her, and she bent down to sit on the ground with me as I licked her face. She gave me some commands, but I didn't mind, I always love to do something for my humans that would please them! Soon, the girl that I was sitting with got a leash from the Landrover and attached it to the collar that she put on me before, when she dropped off some money to Tracie, my current human.

I followed her, seeing what she was doing. I saw the leash, and sat down like ordered to then. We went over, and saw my human and the human next door bend over and call me. They petted me one last time and said goodbye to me and handed over the papers, discussed afew things, and then I hopped in the car. we drove to the house where I sniffed EVERYTHING! This big husky, that I had met before one our first adventure together, sniffed me once again as I entered the house, and then this boxer came out of nowhere! I was somewhat intimadated, but soon learned that Sasha and Nanuk were friendly.

I was accepted into the family immediately. I got to sit on my new mommy's lap at the computer when she was typing something on the computer! We stayed at the house for a long time where I met Great Gram'ma[to me], Gram'ma[really Mom to my mommy], Grandpa[Mommy's Dad], and my Aunt[mommy's sister]. I liked everyone in the house! I met all the cats, whom I sniffed and then left alone to move on, and I met the birds, whom are friendly except for the parakeet, and then we went for our first walk.

Mommy had me close, but relaxed and sometimes I pulled ahead, but I really do need to work on the leash work Anyways, we went to Sago Park, which had water all around it, and nobody was there. Abandoned to say the least. My mommy let me run around off leash, mostly as an expirement to see how well I was trained off leash, and I'm glad to say that I passed with flying colors.

We then went home and stayed home for awhile before we went out for another ride. I was happy to go for a ride, because I love car rides! It wasn't long, but we ended up at a new house where I met three new people and a new dog. Chad, Michelle, Roxas, and Shannon. Here are the pictures of us that day:

Harley (her pet name) is a well adjusted and confident Corgi. Congrats. And boy does she stand a long way off the ground! Must have agility competition bones in her body.

hehe, Thanks everyone!

Michael: We were thinking that as well, she does have longer legs for some reason. She's also super fast and runs all over the place, we were defentaly going to get her into the agility.

Vanette: Thanks very much!! Nanuk is 8 years old now, and he's alittle bit ignorent about her, but when he realizes she is there, they get along very well. Nanuk is just an old fart that always sits around the house anyways.

Matt: Thank you very much!

Perhaps Ein will help Nanuk get some of his youth back. That happens alot.
Maybe he thinks she's visiting. LOL At least she's not interupting him too much. Be prepared. Corgis are smarter.

Take it easy in agility - never work a Corgi as hard (eg not so many repetitions in training) as the bigger more leggy dogs.

Of course I won't push Einy girl too hard. She's a little bullet though when we take her to the park, and extremely obedient, wihch is a surprise to me, because I can walk her to the park without a leash, but of course, I always have a leash just in case. the park is also right across a small canal type thing xD

Nanuk and Ein seem to be tolerating each other, except when Ein attacked Nanuk and got his nose pretty good. Nanuk was trying to steal her food, so she had a reason, but we're more careful about feeding time now.
