Westin's birthday is tomorrow! He'll be one year old. I need to get some new pictures up (I'll do it right after I post), because he's grown quite a bit. He weighs all of 29 pounds now (and actually needs to gain about 2 or 3 pounds).
He has learned to swim all on his own (which means I don't have to carry him into the river any more and I don't even have to be IN the river for him to stay there!)
He also is doing QUITE well loose leash walking (which I NEVER thought he'd learn to do) but we went walking in downtown Kirkland at the waterfront today and I only had to tell him TWICE to stand next to me!!!! I was such a proud mommy! (He did WAY better than my friends black lab ha ha)

Well, happy early birthday to Westin...and can't wait to see new pictures...happy to hear your training has paid off...it gives us incentive to work more with Miz Cammie on a few things as she is still quite a spaz!!! She will be one in November, which will be here before we know it...good luck..hope westin enjoys his first barkday!!

Westin walks so proudly, leading his mum up the garden path and down the street,
Now he is one, so big, and with black coming thru, he's one hellava Corgi I'd love to meet.
And a swimmer too. Who would guess?
That Westin is one and is one of the best.

Happy birthday and just to let you know that Taylor can walk to heel, but by his choice, he almost always leads me anticipating where i want to go and want to stop. That is unless we are returnig home or returning to the point of the start, then he will 'drag' a little behind for awhile.
