Thunder - 06-25-2006, 08:48 PM

Dudley finally heard thunder for the first time this weekend (at least it was the first time he actually acknowledged it). It had been raining for some time and he had been laying on the floor under an open window enjoying the breeze and chewing on his favorite chew toy when out of nowhere, a very large clap of thunder happened. He puffed up like a cat and started barking at the sky. He seemed very pleased with himself when the thunder subsided and he had scared it away.

Congratulations, at least he's not frightened of the thunder. This is a good thing.

Afternoon Storm - 06-26-2006, 12:08 PM

We had a horrible storm on Friday, I went home early from work and arrived at home just before it got really bad. I was greeted as always at the door by the 3 free roamers of the house. Right after I came in there was lighting and thunder. All three dogs sat in a circle at my feet, looking at me as if to say what do we do now. I do not like lighting so we moved into the living room, turned on the television and all got on the couch. So I spent the afternoon on the couch with Muggie sitting in my arms, Maxi in the bend of my knees and Medjai on my feet. It was the most wonderful afternoon that I have spend in a long time. Everyone felt safe and secure being all together.

I don't think there is anything sweeter than when the pack is together.

With some people and Corgis the best of them emerges when under fire.
