Taylor told me - 10-05-2006, 04:23 AM

WE (Taylor and I) both woke up from hearing a bang at around 2am and there were the security lights on at the front driveway of our property. Taylor let out a low growl - his special growl for late night guard duties. I got up and drew back a curtain and opened a window and looked out - but no one in sight. I put on my boxers and raced outside but still no one and nothing appeared damaged etc. Back to bed and hopefully back to sleep. But Taylor was restless. He kept getting up on his back legs and puting his front legs on me. Go to sleep, I said. He did this several times. I felt him when he was lying down on his bed which is right next to me. He was shaking and wouldn't stop. Then he jumped up again and pummelled me with his front legs. I lay there and thought hard. There was perhaps a bit if a draft and the noise from a passing car seemed louder than usual. I got up and checked the window. Yep, still open. I closed it tight. And we then all got a good night's sleep.
Taylor had communicated with me - he was telling me that not all was back in place and as safe as it could be. I felt he had done a great job and just as in agility - he is 90 percent right and I am the one usually making the bloopers.

Those Corgis sure know when something is not right; maybe it was your favorite neighbors cat, or some other creature knocking over something in your yard. What did the "Boxers" have to do with this story?

Wow, Taylor is certainly tenacious...a very fine Corgi quality.
