On our walk last evening, there were a large bunch of Canadian Geese in a farm field and Cody wanted so much go and check them out.

Cody will bark at strange noises also Bonnie, like a tarp maybe draped over something ;then add the wind and that causes it to flap and make noises.

I bet the more you take Chip to that place, that he will get used to it; if it is someplace that you also enjoyed walking in. Maybe offer him a few treats as you are passing through and he will associate something good with that area and not bother with the different noises so much.

OK, so I goofed off all weekend and didn't rake leaves. But there are still tons on the trees so I'm givng myself a break.

By the way, pulled yet another tick off Lulu on Sunday. This is tick #3. And I just gave her K9 Advantix on Friday night! She is a tick Magnet. And Tucker.... "ain't no bugs on me".

I was comparing tick stories at Obedience class last week and one owne told me she used the topical + a flea + tick collar. So on thway home, after spotting the tick, I stopped and picked up a flea/tick collar.
Going to give double coverage a try. If that fails I'm making her a necklace of garlic - can keep away ticks and evil spirits!!!! And just about anything else!

Just a little warning - you may want to check with your vet and make sure you can use more than one repellant at a time. Sometimes it can cause a bad reaction.

Thanks Bonnie, that's probably a really smart idea.

It just amazes me that I have never seen a tick on Tucker and poor Lulu has had 3 bites in 2 weeks. I know humans have different body chemistry, why shouldn't dogs?

I wonder if skin so soft from Avon would repel ticks. You could rub that on her coat and tummy. I used to put it on Digger to repel any mosquitoes when we lived up north. Mosquitoes in Northern NY are the size of a bumblebee.

Love the new photos Susan! What kind of glue did you use to get them to sit still together? I could use a tube or two!!!

I think by that point it was exhaustion! They had been holy terrors all morning and just whipping thru the leaves. I think I caught them in a weak and tired moment.

Notice Tucker panting for air! It looks like a smile but Lulu had just chased him around the house.

That pic of the two of them is adorable Susan!!! You should make that your Windows wallpaper!!! Lulu must just be super-sweet to attract all those bugs!

Great Fall Corgi pics, everyone! That is the one thing I miss about being a transplanted California girl - the colors of Fall. I grew up outside of Pittsburgh - it would be fun to take Trevor back there sometime and watch him roll around in the leaves!

Debi:

It has been a relatively beautiful ( in terms of the colors) fall. The weather in the northeast could have been better but the range of colors really was realy gorgeous. I love the reds and oranges. But are leaves are nearly gone so on dark gray days like today, it is really depressing.
