Is it just me or does Michael sometimes come off as an overbearing Super Corgi Expert. Michael I know you mean well and have a lot of experience with Corgi's but you really come off poorly sometimes. Cheetah was simply shareing a story not looking to be told off by anyone.

Michael,

Cheetah seems like a very nice new member and her Shippo is adorable

I say you offer an apology to her,(for what she felt was the only thing she could do), maybe even in the form of one of your poems. She is new here, and as Moderator you should be making her first posting experiences positive for her.

Keep posting Cheetah/Shippo - don't let scolding scare you away! We want to hear more of your stories.

Thank you guys... It's good to know I'm actually not a moron. >@_@<

That post did certainly make me feel unwelcome, but It'll take more than that to chase me away. I finally found a corgi forum and I'd like to enjoy my stay here without being chastised lol... >^^;<

Good thing is, I know those dogs are not aggressive now so if it happens again I'll know what to expect, and he'll have a better chance to meet them.

cheetah:

You will find that almost everyone is a very supportive group here. We have one thing in common, we love our corgis. Sometimes, we have to do what we have to do to protect our little furbabies and you positively did the right thing. I know a couple of times at obedience class, I have jerked Chip away from a dog that I didn't know because it started growling at Chip. Chip thinks everyone and every dog just loves him and is not a threat. Sometimes, that isn't a good thing for him. I know I felt bad because of the jerk but it was the quickest way to get him out of harm's way and to keep him safe.

I couldn't agree more, we do what we have to do - while it may be a quick bit of minor discomfort for the dog by us jerking them up, it beats a lengthy vet stay, permanent damage or worse death from dog attack..

I am glad that you are staying here cheetah - most of the time it is a fun forum- on occasion there can be a little heat but i say, always stand up for what you believe in! I speak my mind here! And we all do have the same love in common- our Corgis!

Taylor as a puppy was attacked by a Pit Bull type dog at a park when we were sitting down on a grassy enbankment looking at a tennis match and I had him on a leash. The dog, off-lead, came up from behind me and tore into Taylor without any warning. The dog's owner came along and separated them and then raced at full speed across the park towards the man's car. After a delay to see if Taylor was hurt, we went after them in hot pursuit but they drove away. The reason why the man ran for it was if I had caught them and taken the registration number of the man's car, the dog would probably have had to be put down and the owner prosecuted.
